Elementary 1, 2: Can understand and use familiar language structures; can use basic vocabulary to communicate in certain contexts: introduce themselves and others; present information related to themselves such as living areas, family members/friends, and others. Can take part in simple conversations if their partner speaks slowly and clearly as well as willingly offer language support.
Elementary 3, 4: Can understand commonly-used sentences and communicative structures in popular topics such as family, themselves, shopping, asking for directions, jobs. Can exchange information on simple and familiar topics in daily life; can broadly describe themselves, the surrounding environment, and essential needs.
