Sài Gòn Market was the old name of Bến Thành Market. Bâu came from French language, meaning shirt collar. The couplet conveys emotions of two lovers who have to temporarily stay apart. The man stays in Saigon and the woman gets back to Tổng Châu (a rural district in An Giang Province).
