Suông noodle, or đuông noodle, was recognized by Asian Record Organisation to be among the top 10 Vietnamese delicacies housing Asian cuisine values in 2013.

This dish originated in Trà Vinh. Its name refers to the worm-like (con đuông) shrimp loaf made from ground fresh shrimps. The dish’s appeal that leaves people an unforgettable impression also comes from its flavourful brown broth which includes tamarind and salted soybeans.
